Following the singer’s DIY attempts, Essex County Council fixed the roads, and a spokesman said: “We would be happy for Sir Rod Stewart to accompany one of our road-patching gangs for a day.”
On his Instagram post , externalthis week, Sir Rod said: “I’ve been driving these iconic Italian cars since the 70s, and I absolutely love and adore them.
“This post is for my fans – thank you, as you are the sole reason I own them.”
In response to Sir Rod’s latest pothole concerns, a spokesperson for Essex County Council said: We’d like to reassure Sir Rod Stewart that Essex County Council is investing more money this year than ever in maintaining and repairing the roads of Essex.
“An additional £37m is being invested to address potholes and carry out larger scale works, like resurfacing and vegetation clearance, through our priority one programme.
“As a result, more potholes around the county are being fixed, so Sir Rod can join other Essex residents sailing along our roads.”
Sir Rod, who is a member of the US Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, is continuing to tour, and will head to Spain and Denmark for shows next month.
