Women in Belfast rescued from suspected human traffickers

Two women, believed to have been victims of human trafficking, have been rescued from a property in south Belfast.

They were found following a search of a flat in the Annadale Embankment area of the city on Friday night.

Two men, aged 42 and 41, and a 39-year-old woman who were arrested during the police operation have been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

They were questioned on a number of offences, including brothel keeping and controlling prostitution.
