Former Northern Ireland international and Derry City manager Jim McLaughlin has died at the age of 83.
A striker in his playing days, he made his international debut against Scotland in 1961and scored six goals in 12 caps.
As manager of his hometown club Derry City, he led the Candystripes to an unprecedented treble in 1989.
In a club career that also included spells with Birmingham City, Shrewsbury Town and Peterborough United, he is also fondly remembered at Swansea City for whom he scored a famous goal in an FA Cup quarter-final win over Liverpool in 1964.
Having started his managerial career at Shrewsbury, he started in the League of Ireland at Dundalk and would go on to win the title eight times at four different clubs.
His Derry City side remain the only side to complete a treble of the League of Ireland Premier Division, FAI Cup and League Cup.
