Wales defender Charlie Estcourt says the way players found out about Reading’s withdrawal from the Championship was “unacceptable”.
The club have encountered financial difficulties over the past 12 months and cuts across the board means the women’s side will play in the fifth tier next season.
Estcourt said the communication from the club was “disappointing” and players should not have found out at the same time as the public.
