Ronnie O’Sullivan made a blistering start to his first-round match against Thailand’s Thepchaiya Un-Nooh at the World Championship at the Crucible.
O’Sullivan, 44, averaged 13.4 seconds per shot as he made breaks of 101, 85 and 115 to win the first three frames.
The five-time champion raced further ahead with breaks of 74, 88 and 76 before Un-Nooh won the seventh frame.
However, the Englishman responded by winning the next two frames to lead 8-1 going into Monday’s final session.
