Ken Owens believes the “nonsense” around Welsh rugby’s impending shake-up has been unfair on Wales’ women’s side before their Rugby World Cup campaign.

The ex-Wales hooker believes the Welsh Rugby Union’s plans can benefit the women’s game in the nation, but said plans for improvement should be “standalone” as opposed to being a by-product of changes to the men’s game.
