Viral ‘marry me’ chicken recipe will make people fall in love with you

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts

2 tbsp of flour

1 tbsp of paprika

50g of butter

1 tsp of thyme

1 tsp of oregano

100g of sundried tomatoes

1-2 tbsp of tomato paste or pesto

200 ml of chicken stock

1 onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp of garlic

50 ml of double cream

Salt and pepper

Fresh basil

Instructions

Mix together the flour, paprika, salt and pepper, and pour onto a plate. Coat both sides of the chicken in the flour mixture.

Flash cook the chicken in a pan with butter, only about 1 to 2 minutes per side. This step adds more flavour and crispens the skin, but it can be skipped if you choose.

Meanwhile, add onion, garlic, sundried tomatoes, thyme and oregano to the slow cooker and mix. Next, add tomato paste or pesto, along with chicken stock, and stir.

Place your chicken in the slow cooker and spoon in the sauce on top. Cook on low for 8 hours, then add in the double cream and basil. Let cook for another 10 minutes on high.
