Six men charged with raping girls in Kirklees dating back to 1994

Six men have been charged with the rapes of girls in Kirklees more than 25 years ago.

The offences are reported to have taken place between 1994 and 1998, West Yorkshire Police said.

Five of the men, who are from Dewsbury, Batley and Shipley, and a sixth man from London are due to appear before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Police said officers were continuing to conduct enquiries in partnership with the Crown Prosecution Service as part of the operation into non-recent child sex offences in Kirklees.
