The vessel ran aground near Inverbervie Beach at about 11:15 on Saturday but, almost 24 hours later, HM Coastguard confirmed it had been terminated.

Emergency services, including a coastguard helicopter, a fixed-wing aircraft, and rescue teams from Montrose, Stonehaven, Arbroath and Aberdeen, were involved in the operation.

Lifeboats from Arbroath, Montrose and Stonehaven also assisted.
