Aberdeen v Dundee

Midfield loan signing from Crystal Palace, Killian Phillips, goes into the Aberdeen squad. Defenders Stefan Gartenmann and Slobodan Rubezic have been sent for scans on injuries.

Luke McCowan is suspended for Tony Docherty’s Dundee while Aaron Donnelly, Ricki Lamie, Diego Pineda and Antonio Portales have missed recent games.

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson: “Tony’s done well. He’s a good friend of mine. He’s an organised coach. He knows how to structure his team properly. He’s good with set plays. Difficult game for us again – as they all are in this division – but one that if we really perform at our best, we’ve got a real opportunity to get a good result. We make sure that we start on the front foot and we get the fans behind us.”

Dundee manager Tony Docherty: “[It’s a] difficult game at Pittodrie. I take it game by game. Our first objective as a newly promoted team is to retain our Premiership status. With us going 13 points ahead [of bottom side Livingston] – there’s loads of football to be played – to do that in January, it’s important we don’t get ahead of ourselves.”

Did you know? Dundee have won just one of their past 10 Scottish Premiership meetings with Aberdeen.

Choose your starting XI. It’s up to you how to approach it – you could go for the team you WANT the manager to pick or the one you THINK he will.

Livingston v Ross County

Jamie Brandon, Michael Devlin, Kurtis Guthrie and Scott Pittman trained on Monday after recent knocks and could feature. Joel Nouble remains a Livingston player after a proposed move to Exeter did not materialise.

Ross County captain Jack Baldwin is free from suspension but has been carrying a knock. Scott Allardice is injured and Ross Callachan and Dylan Smith have also sat out recent games. Ryan Leak missed the weekend loss to Celtic after having an x-ray on an ankle injury but Will Nightingale featured in that game after receiving an injection in his knee.

Livingston manager David Martindale: “It’s not easy. There’s a lot of tension, there’s a lot of frustration, there’s a lot of anxiety, there’s a lot of underlying emotions and we all know how important this game is. We’ve let ourselves down this season, I’ve let the team down this season, I’ve let the fans down this season, the players have let the fans down this season; players have let the staff down, staff’s let the players down – we’re all in this together and this is a huge game, a huge game in the season and it’s one that we need to go and try and win.”

Ross County goalkeeper George Wickens: “We can take [the performance at Celtic Park] into Tuesday and hopefully in a game where we’ll have slightly more possession and more chances, which hopefully we can take. We shouldn’t be in the position we’re in [second bottom, six points clear of Livingston]. With the run of games coming up and if we can take some points from that, we can firmly get ourselves of that position. It’s a good opportunity coming up.”

Did you know? Livingston and Ross County have taken an equal amount of points from the past six league meetings of the two sides with two wins apiece and two draws.
