Wales back-rower Josh Navidi captains Cardiff Blues against Ospreys in the final Pro14 match of the 2019-20 regular season.

Blues have made 13 changes and are playing the “home” match at Rodney Parade in Newport because their Arms Park ground is currently part of the Principality Stadium field hospital.

Ospreys have made six changes to the side that drew 20-20 with Dragons.

Wales Under-20s wing Dewi Cross replaces the suspended George North.

The Wales wing was given a four-match ban for his dangerous tackle on Dragons wing Ashton Hewitt during the exciting draw at the Liberty Stadium.

Centre Tiaan-Thomas Wheeler, prop Rhodri Jones, hooker Scott Otten, second-row Bradley Davies and number eight Gareth Evans all start for Ospreys and Mat Protheroe is in line to make his debut off the replacements bench after joining from Bristol.

For Blues, Navidi returns at number eight after missing the 32-12 defeat against Scarlets on 22 August as only Josh Turnbull and Josh Adams survive from the starting side.

Navidi was absent for Wales’ Six Nations games against Italy, Ireland and France with a hamstring injury before returning in the defeat against England on 7 March.

The 29-year-old says it will be odd playing a home game that is not at the Arms Park.

“It’s going to be a strange one,” said Navidi.

“The good thing about Rodney Parade is that it’s got a good surface down there, which is the main thing.

“We won’t have the Dragons fans shouting at you but it should be a nice experience.

“There won’t be any crowds at the minute, so I don’t think there will be much ‘home advantage’ anyway.”

New back-row signing Sam Moore is set to make his Blues debut off the replacements’ bench after joining from Sale.
