Grimsby Town 3-1 Wrexham: Ryan Taylor sets Mariners on course

Grimsby continued their unbeaten start to the season as they inflicted a first loss of the campaign on Wrexham.

Wrexham took the lead when Jake Hyde collected Luke Young’s ball down the middle before finishing in style.

Grimsby complained of a foul on Ryan Taylor in the build-up, but the forward soon had them level as he turned in Erico Sousa’s cross.

The home side hit the front when Luke Waterfall headed in a corner, before Max Wright’s breakaway sealed victory.
