Jordan Davies struck twice as Wrexham hammered depleted underdogs Gloucester City 5-0 to reach the FA Trophy fourth round.
But they chose to go to the Racecourse, where Davies’ first-half brace put the hosts in control.
Max Cleworth, Kwame Thomas and James Jones added their names to the scoresheet after the break.
Fit-again Thomas’ goal came as he made a first appearance since March.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson:
“It was a good day’s work for us, always pleased to win and it takes us into the Christmas period in good spirits.
“We got more or less what we wanted out of the game.
“We had a lot of players missing ourselves in terms of the Covid situation. But there were a lot of positives – it was good to get goals – and some real plus points.”
