Danika Priim: Ex-England prop becomes RFL vice-president to Adam Hills

Former England, Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos prop Danika Priim will join RFL president Adam Hills as one of his vice-presidents.

Australian comedian Hills, 54, will take over as president from Sir Lindsey Hoyle, the Speaker of the House of Commons and MP for Chorley, in 2025.

Priim, who has moved into punditry since her retirement from rugby league in 2021, becomes the fourth woman to serve as a president or vice-president of the RFL.

Swinton Lions chief executive Steve Wild will also become Hills’ other vice-president.

Wild follows on from Malcolm White, a former Lions chairman, who served as RFL president between 2001 and 2002.

Priim’s appointment follows Sue Taylor’s stint as vice-president in 2022 and 2023 while Kath Hetherington and Clare Balding have held the role of president in the past.
