Belfast City Airport runway closed after emergency incident

Belfast City Airport’s runway will be closed for the rest of Sunday after a plane suffered an emergency incident during a landing.

Pictures appear to show an Aer Lingus flight with a collapsed nose wheel sitting on the runway.

The airport said the incident happened at about 16:00 GMT and that no passengers were on board but there were four crew.

It is understood no-one was seriously hurt.
